The Manager, Product Design is a role responsible for leading our UX design strategy, user research, and UX design delivery oversight of Elixir’s products. The Manager, Product Design will promote a design-first mindset across the organization and foster design as a strategic capability to shape how our customers interact with our products. This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product Management, Engineering, Technical Support, and Marketing to define and execute on the end-to-end customer experience at the macro and micro interaction level. Essential Functions Under the general supervision of the Global Director, Product Management, the essential functions include: Research, analyze, and determine the ideal user experience for all personas and workflows across Elixir’s products and applications Partner closely with the Product and Engineering leaders and teams to create and align a product strategy that supports our users’ needs and ensure that research, UI, UX, concepting, prototyping, and testing are integrated in every step of the product and development roadmap Apply deep understanding of user research to ensure that what is built solves real user problems in a way that is simplistic, intuitive, consistent, and seamless for all experience levels Deliver wireframes, user flows, high-fidelity screens, and visual assets to support the product development process Communicate complex information using interaction design tools including journey maps, storyboards, information architecture, user flows, wireframes, etc. Conduct regular design reviews, elevating designs with every session Orchestrate and deliver client-focused product experiences within enterprise software at scale Execute a variety of design tasks to align with our product deadlines Apply, maintain, and build upon design systems to ensure consistent designs Lead by example by participating in all stages of the product design and development lifecycle including generative research, concepting and definition, prototyping, UI design, and testing Create a clear vision of how to make Elixir a category leader in Com Ops software for design, UX, and design culture Execute design-led engagements in an early adopter program and other UX research activities for beta solutions, product development, and GA solutions with customers and partners Manage, lead, and coach other UX/UI product designers Embrace and sustain a work environment that supports Elixir’s core values: Community, Learning, Integrity, and Pioneering Ability to communicate abstract design concepts visually and verbally in a clear and engaging manner Extensive experience in interface design, research, and new product development in a growth-oriented product-driven company. Establishment and measurement of customer-facing metrics such as competitive analysis, product satisfaction (CSAT), NPS, usability efficiency, and ease of use (CES)Proficiency in design, prototyping, and presentation software such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Suite, Invision, and Keynote Demonstrated ability to thrive in an ambiguous and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment balancing and managing diverse stakeholder needs Experience in the application of design systems such as Material Design Ability to collaborate across various functional areas in the organizations and make the case for change through design Familiarity with Design Thinking methodology Familiarity with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards for Accessible Design An advocate for the user's perspective across all development phases, using their perspective to guide effective communication with cross-functional stakeholders and executives Hands on experience in a variety of user research techniques including user testing, personas, user tasks and scenarios, internal and external user interviews Requirements Required education and experience8+ years of experience in UI/UX and Design3+ years of experience in a management role, ideally with a blend of experience in complex, cloud-native software products and consumer products Proven success in rapid iterative software development environments Experience working across multiple platforms (e.g., products, websites, mobile apps, etc.)Excellent project and time management skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Customer-centric mindset Portfolio or samples of work demonstrating relevant experience Preferred education and experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in human-computer Interaction, interaction design, UX Design, or related field Supervisory responsibilities Yes Work environment The work is performed in an office environment and may be distracting at times with others conversing. Work environment could be in Elixir’s office, working from home, or a hybrid of both. This position requires hours of computer screen time, hearing, speaking, and sitting or standing at a desk. Expected hours of work Regular business hours plus some evening hours for global conference calls. Additional hours on weekends or holidays may be required on a seasonal basis to meet business needs.
